Ms. Costa’s collections are expansions on a theme, often visual interpretations of different aspects of a concept. She deals with psychological, mythological, and iconographic themes, and this season her collection is based on the legend of Joan of Arc, her strength and her vulnerability. The designer will explore aspects of of the celebrated historical figure as a girl, as a warrior, and as a saint, integrating bridal, eveningwear, and avante garde designs.
“An outfit has the power to create a character,” says Kristin Costa. “I create designs that can both illustrate a story, and stand alone as wearable pieces for any occasion. I strive to create pieces that have a memorable unique artistry and to dress people who want to stand out in an elegant and fearless way.”
