Andres Aquino, fashion designer and producer-founder of COUTURE FASHION WEEK, has announced that the prestigious New York fashion event will be partnering with the Latino Initiatives of theAMERICAN DIABETES ASSOCIATION for its February 2011 season. The objective is to raise awareness and funds in support of the charity’s efforts.
Mr. Aquino’s own fashion show will be dedicated to the charity tie-in. The show will be held at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 19, 2011 in the legendary Grand Ballroom of the Waldorf-Astoria. Mr. Aquino’s collection this season is inspired by the vibrancy and dynamic of sights and sounds of New York City – from the subway to Broadway. Since many Latinos, including his own mother, are affected by diabetes, Mr. Aquino feels strongly about this worthy cause, especially the ADA’s Latino Initiatives program.
The ADA will hold a silent auction fundraiser at Couture Fashion Week on Saturday, February 19, 2011 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Waldorf-Astoria.
A portion of the proceeds from event ticket sales made on the following webpage will be donated to the ADA: http://couturefashionweek-ada.eventbrite.com
